Daily drill

One break-fix drill a day, the same for everyone: a few minutes of support practice, with a streak kept in your browser.

How it works

Every day the lab picks one of its break-fix drills, and everyone who opens it that day gets the same one. You read the error a Calder user reports, find the setting behind it, fix it where it belongs and prove the fix. Finish it yourself on the day and it counts toward your streak; at the end you get a short result you can copy or share.

  • Same drill for everyone. The pick depends only on the date, in your own time zone, so it changes at your midnight. Colleagues can compare notes on the same drill.
  • A fresh start each day. Opening today's drill from the daily link starts it from the broken system, even if you did that drill before. Reloading keeps your progress for the day.
  • What counts. The streak counts days on which you finished the day's drill yourself. If the guide's "Do this stage for me" did part of it, the drill is done but the day doesn't count. A drill started just before midnight still counts for the day you started it.
  • What the result says. How many wrong answers came before the right cause, that you fixed it and proved the fix, and your streak. No points and no ranking: nothing leaves your browser unless you paste it somewhere.

Your streak and results are kept in this browser only; nothing is sent anywhere. Each drill runs on its own prepared copy of the fictional Calder Pumpworks, apart from your company. All codes and values are fictional course labels.
